Introduced with patch 0.2.0 the way the points for the Atlas Skill Tree can be acquired changed from simply running a bunch of maps on continuously higher tiers to clearing certain maps. In total there are 5 unique maps to clear as well as 15 maps containing a corrupted Nexus on each available waystone tier or above.
Those maps are in the center of corrupted areas, but how can you find them in the mist of Wraeclast, fog of war or however you wanna call it?

Identifying Upcoming Maps Containing A Corrupted Nexus

There are actually two more or less reliable ways to identify an upcoming nexus map.

• The first one is obviously a corrupted map visible on the edge of the of.
• The other is handy as well. Within the fog of war the pinnacles of towers closer to the discovered area are visible. If they have those dark-red-ish veins on them, that's a hin for corruption. And where there is corruption, there is a corrupted nexus. You can actually see both on the following screenshot.
